After teaching Dog Grooming for a number of years, I have firm and practiced methods of the best way of learning the trade. It is more or less based on 90% practical experience,with a small amount of theory work covered.

At all times there will be a maximum of four students, so very much a highly focused method of one to one tuition is given. I am devoted to teaching to the highest of standards that I practice in my own work as a Canine Beautician contributing to the rising success of my own business Canine Barbers Dog Grooming & Tendring Dog Grooming Training Academy.

We aim to cater for the complete novice groomer up to a more experienced groomer wanting to inprove their skills.

We can also offer bespoke training courses, giving you the opportunity to design your own grooming programme.

TENDRING DOG GROOMING TRAINING ACADEMY

Proprietor and head trainer Stephanie Pina has been in the Grooming industry for 17 years, also over 11 years teaching Adult leisure learning Dog grooming classes at the local college.

All courses are suitable for students 16 years plus, and all students will have access to our dedicated state-of-the-art training academy complete with professional equipment and access to a variety of dogs on which to learn new skills to practice the techniques.

With Steph's high intensity Two to one tuition,this is a intense course that is designed to give the student training, confidence and the business acumen to run work towards running their own successful grooming salon.

Our dog grooming courses are carefully constructed to meet each component of the City & Guilds Grooming Standard. Students will be issued with a comprehensive work book in which a detailed record of progress and skills acquired will be recorded throughout the course. There is many promising discussions within the industry to make it mandatory to have formal training and City & Guilds qualifications, and sooner or later this is bound to happen. However, until then you do not need to take formal exams BUT IT IS VITAL THAT YOU TRAIN PROPERLY AND THOROUGHLY FOR YOUR NEW CAREER.
