Courses
After teaching Dog Grooming for a number of years, I have firm and practiced methods of the best way of learning the trade. It is more or less based on 90% practical experience,with a small amount of theory work covered.
At all times there will be a maximum of four students, so very much a highly focused method of one to one tuition is given. I am devoted to teaching to the highest of standards that I practice in my own work as a Canine Beautician contributing to the rising success of my own business Canine Barbers Dog Grooming.
We aim to cater for the complete novice groomer up to a more experienced groomer wanting to improve their skills.​We can also offer bespoke training courses, giving you the opportunity to design your own grooming programme.

This course is 80% practical based in the salon, All students will be required to attend all 26 days of your course. Home Study is done in your own time. This gives you chance to learn the Art of Commercial grooming too.
​
During the Heavenlyz dog grooming course at Tendring Dog Grooming Academy, you will be required to undertake an online multiple choice theory examination.
This will be sat under exam conditions at an approved site (normally the same site where the student attends their dog grooming course).
​
You will learn about different grooming and styling techniques, health and safety, and working with people.
​
The City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate for Dog Grooming Assistants enables basic skills required to work in a commercial dog grooming environment.
​
Students will receive all course materials, and it is recommended to bring a camera as well as notebooks and pens upon arrival.
